The Director’s Cut was originally formed to perform background music for the October 2010 Poppy Jasper Film Festival event social parties for the directors, producers and actors at the request of the event committee. Three friends, Howie, Troy & Tom, who had played in different bands together in past lives joined together and played four full set lists to cover the two evening performance. It was a blast for the band and the attendees.

The guys decided to restart the band in April of 2011 with a twist; Howie’s wife Donna and Troy’s wife Lisa joined the band to help with vocals as well as keyboards and percussion. One piece was missing to round out the sound and Bob, a versatile guitar player, joined shortly thereafter.

The Director’s Cut ever expanding set lists consist of rock songs from 1955 to the present. Crowd pleasers that are as much fun for the Band to perform. Our goal as a band is to put on a show that will leave you humming a few forgotten tunes, jog some old memories and put a smile on your face.
